What's Here:: My LJ is basically turning into my site where I put everything: fics, music vids, random mental rants about nothing, reviews of the shows I love and flames about the shows that suck. I also like to post recs a lot for various fandoms and I store them in my memories. Eventually I'll have all of my stories on this LJ and they'll be catalogued in my memories. I'm too inconsistent about tagging for that to be reliable even though I try.

My Fandoms: I'm quite erratic when it comes to fan obsessions but there are two big ones: Roswell and Veronica Mars. I also have minor fandoms that I enjoy venturing into when I get frustrated and bored with my major fandoms OR if I just need a break. Fandoms I dabble in reading occasionally include: Harry Potter, Dark Angel, Alias, That 70s Show, Gilmore Girls, Buffy, Smallville (Never watched it but I do occasionally read Chlex because of a Roswell author who crossed over) and I even read some Wolf Lake when I got curious. I normally only write for the VM and Roswell fandoms but I do have the occasional one shot elsewhere. ETA 4/10/08: Starting to really love Dexter and True Blood and I expect to read fanfic in this fandom.

Friending "Policy": I never really got into LJ politics and I don't get upset if someone doesn't friend me back unless that means I can't read a fanfic I really, really like. Basically, I know my life is boring and I usually only share details about my personal life when I need to vent. LJ is for fandom and it normally doesn't register to me if I don't get friended because I largely friend people to monitor subjects I'm interested in. I always feel weird when I need to beg someone to friend me to read a story I will most likely leave nice feedback for, I always figured fanfic was public domain until LJ started locking everything. In short, my livejournal was created so I could give feedback to fandoms that are primarily on LJ like Veronica Mars. Because of that, most of the people I have friended due to fanfic reasons: I like your fics and want to know when you update. Yes, I do friend people for other reasons and if you'd like me to friend you please leave me a message (I'm not always good at keeping track of friending so sometimes I don't realize I've been friended by someone new). If you friend me and I don't friend you back please don't be offended, it just means I don't know you because you've never said anything to me or you haven't written anything I'm familiar with or I know you've friended me for my fanfic in which case I realize you're just watching my journal for udpates.

I really hate this story. It's one of my early ones where I was writing without having a plot laid out, just going with the flow. Every author knows that when you do that you end up getting a bit lost. It's still fun because I haven't written many no-alien stories. (Link to story)

Point of Origin

I only wrote one chapter of this wonderful collaborative work but I was so excited when the Polar Mafia asked me to be a part of their creative vision. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed trying something new with the chapter I was given, devoted to Tess. It made me appreciate what a wonderful character Tess was and I was just glad to be a part of it, even if it was only a small part. (Link to the story - my chapter is XXVI)

The Alien Side Series

Ah, it's fun to indulge your perverted dark side occasionally. Basically, this is my take on why it was important that Isabel and Tess became pregnant - the contingency plan gone badly. I was surprised that people seemed to like it actually because it is quite twisted. :) (Something Primal / Closer / Control)

When You Were Mine

This is one of my first ever fanfictions. Written in the Roswell fandom (which I favour), it's a podsquad history with a polar twist but really, it's all about the Rath :). I stopped writing it because I thought my writing had grown far more sophisticated than what was offered throughout the early chapters (understandable considering I started writing it in year 10). I still loved the concept so the only thing to do was revise it. I am comfortable loving it now because I feel like I can do it more justice. It's one of my babies so I was really excited when I won a couple of awards for it. (Revised Version)

Splinter

I only flirted with writing 'Harry Potter' fanfiction because it feels strange writing in a fandom based on literature. I feel much more comfortable writing about television characters. I do love reading dramione stories but didn't feel comfortable writing about them. I was struck by inspiration when reading Hans Christian Anderson's 'The Snow Queen' and decided to give Draco a splinter in his eye :) I'm still pretty tentative, but it was nice to be recognised none the less.
